Over there
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic but when I was at the lfs today, they had a bichir that I did not recognize. I will try my best to describe it, but the pattern looked like an endli except the bands were broken up, but the body was exactly like a Senegal. It was also an upper jaw species. It pretty much just looked like a hybrid of and endli and Senegal but I've never ears of hybridization between upper and lower jaw species. Anyone know what this was?

ummm well without pics it's very tough especially with traits of both upper and lower jaws i don't it's a senegal x endli (or any other lower jaw) hybrid because the breeding sizes would be way off but then again anything is possible, i'd think palmas polli because it could resemble broken patterns and a senegal head. If you want a 100% (or at least a good shot at iding it) you'd need a pic

what lfs was it at/ do you know the supplier of the lfs

Could have been a Retropinnis

Possibly underfed Endli or pale palmas polli. 405 never gets in any special bichirs.

After looking at pics online, it doesn't look like any of the palmus polli's or retros. It definitely isn't an endli either. It mostly resembles a del so maybe it was an extremely pale del but I still don't think it was

Captive Bred bichirs may have different coloring, it more then likely is a tank raised palmas or polli.
