I have two Tetra Whisper 5 power filters on my 120 gal. An was thinking about getting two Hagen 110/500 filters to replace them, as the whispers are getting old an parts are beomming hard to nail down.

would the Hagen 110/500 be good replacements??????

Hagen (Aquaclear) 110 is an excellent and very inexpensive hang-on filter. Definitely would be the best bang for your buck, no contest.

Ok I figured they would be, thanks P45.

Aquaclear would be a very nice upgrade.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I LOVE the TetraTec Power Filters. I have the pf500 and the pf300, each with the heater core, and they do a fantastic job. They're easy to maintain, quiet, and relatively inexpensive. It's easy to find media and parts for them online and at most LFS. I've heard others have not had the same glowing praise, but my experience has been great!

:clap :woot: :headbang2 :grinyes:

Ya Ive seen tetratecs with the heater Cap But the lowest price Ive found for a Tetratec pf500 an 200watt heater capsule was $75.00 , an I already have heaters. So itd be a moot point to buy new ones. If I needed filters an Heaters Id more than likely go with Tetratec pf500's.
