Anyone have any idea what kind of baby this is.. i got him when he was an inch big.. and he is just starting to show himself off at a big 4 inches..:)

I'd say Synodontis decorus, but then again I have never kept synodontis catfish before so hopefully someone else chimes in on this one, but that's a starting point at least! Looks good, post more pics when you get a chance.

Good job, I don't know much on synodontis, I need to get some new tanks set up so that I can keep some without fear of them getting eaten lol.

Are these little catfish really Ocellifer? and worth like $100+?? Cause today at my LFS i saw similair catfish, same body structure, same dots pattern, but the color is more lighter (but not completely white).. and got like 4 of them and cost $7.99 each.. worth to buy?

So many look so similar from the research I have done today. I think you would really need to know your defining characteristics before you could positively identify a species. I think I'll definitely start keeping some synodontis, but I haven't seen any, in any fish stores here in montana. This place sux when it comes to getting anything other than guppies, mollies, goldfish, or bettas.
