Theyll actually get up to 5', just takes a while. They do "speed-grow" to 3' though as stated.

Biggest ive seen in person were 42 or 44" on the tape measure...far cry from 5'. These hybrids belonged to Ted (anythingfish) and rode cross country in a box truck to cleveland Ohio complements of Bigrich545. Rich is a stickler for measurements and this is 100% accurate as he takes every fish out and measures for documentation. He once almost declined a bass i sold him at 18" because it was in fact 16.5" on the tape lol... Necro also had a rather large hybrid but not 5'.... its a feat in itself to grow one of these hybrids over 30" and you need alot of space and time to do so. 24" is not 3' lol...
