Crazy, second one to pop up on here. Very rare in here in ohio, ive seen one in 27 yrs and had to release it. Maybe ur lucky enough to keep him in indiana if there legal.

I live in sourthern Indiana and we have a lot of box turtles. It isn't possible to keep easterns as pets in the state, though. If you want a pet box turtle you have to buy an eastern with a ton of documentation from out of state or get a different variety, gulf coast, florida, 3 toe, etc.
