recently bought this catfish from some guy that had it in like a 35 gallon tank and i wanted to save it so i bought it for 25 and i got no idea what catfish it is looks like a synodontis help me...

It's the ubiquitous channel catfish = Ictalurus punctatus. Even still can see the spots.
 
Could be a bullhead species , im no expert though

The easiest way to tell a bullhead from channel is bullhead's tail is squared off (apart from one member of the genus of Ameiurus, the white catfish), channel's is forked.
 
Sure. I suggest typing the sci name in google... or ask more specific questions?
