^ What he said :)

Beat me to it Victor, not that I know as much as you about them :D

Are there any fish he could make a meal of? He's probably just trying to eat it. If not I'd just feed him a little more and he might stop if his belly is full.

Feed him well and he should stop trying to eat other fish, you'd be suprised of the stomach capacity of Ictalurids :)

Maybe give him earthworms as a treat, my 3.5" Asian bumblebee catfish can eat half a nightcralwers so your channel should have no problem with them.

your amazing thank you do u know why this guy goes for all my fish? seems like they didnt feed him well

If he can swallow them, they are at risk.

As mentioned, wild channels tend to be more predatory or, rather, less discerning. If they can, they will. I've given plenty of pelleted foods to a couple of 2'-ers in my 12,000 gal koi pond and they still ate up 30-40 smaller koi (5"-7") out of ~100-150 over summer & fall. They came from a farm but a wild lake.

Those raised in artificial captivity, appear to be markedly less predatory to the point of being utterly non-predatory. But, if they had been fed live fish in captivity (before getting to you), that changes everything. This is not some common knowledge I am citing but IME and what I remember from reading about the experience of others.

Anyone else confirm, refute?
