hello, i picked up 3 of these little guys from a lfs they said they'd grow about 6-8" and be fine with a pictus. they are about 2inch and they were £4 each...sorry for the pics they are in a 55 now but will go into a 120 when bigger.

i looked at the pics on google and 2looked like them but all the rest looked dfferent...does anyone no the basics of the like size,diet...ect

They are great catfish. They are not fussy eaters...they'll take prepared foods as well as frozen (bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc.). They do like a lot of cover, wether it's plants or driftwood. If they are indeed robertsi, they max out around 4" or so.
at the store they were called synodontis tiger but i searched for that and nothing turned up....do you think they'd be ok with a pictus?
Are u talking about the siamese flying foxes, the bala shark, or the synodontis sp. Its probably a hybrid.
looks like syn. robertsi to me as well.

Its definately a hybrid between synodontis robertsi, and synodontis ocealifer. Notice the 2 spots on the caudal fish of the synos.
