ID my catfish please

hmm not sure not good with Synodos but the spots on the tail are very distinctive
 
i dout its a hybrid as the lfs are a big clain store and doesnt take fish from anyone bar there own fish but you are the experts, i dont wont them to be hybrids but if they keep that colouring and pattern then ile be happy, so it will only grow 4inch? is the any other cool catfish which would do well in a 120gallon-4by2by2 with aggressive cichlids like jag,jd,gt?

Yeah, they would be ok with a pictus cat. I've never had issues with my pictus cats with any of my other guys.

Well, if they are some sort of hybrid between robertsi and ocellifer like Sabre_Tooth thinks, you can assume he will get a little bigger than 4" because the ocellifer cats get to about 8". I have an ocellifer myself, and he is a FAT 8" and he holds his own with my aggressive guys.

You could also try some cats from the Doradidae family. I have two Megalodoras uranoscopus cats that NO ONE messes with because they are covered in spines...they would do well. The one problem is that they get big...like over two feet big, so an upgrade would be in your future...but when is that a bad thing?:D

they look nice i like there pattern down there body......i would get some but i think for now an upgrade is out of the question....i have no space left:D
