hahaha! that sucks.....=( but it's ok, Dats are worth the wait doncha agree?

anyway, just wondrin..... what are wide bars and thin bars...? would and STs do well with ITs?

All the spcies of dats:

Widebar- Datnioides pulcher
Indonesian- Datnioides microlepis
Thin bar- Datnioides undecimradiatus
New Guinea- Datnioides campbelli
Silver- Datnioides quadrifasciatus

Widebars and thinbars are 2 different species. Yes ST's do well with IT's as long as there are more than just 2 in a tank.

ahhhhh...............................@_@ i've heard about the 3 or more rule as i've done some asking here before.. thanks for the info about thin bars and wide bars! i'll look for more and maybe red hooks too!

Silver is now Datnoides Polata. Quadrifasciatus is outdated

Red hooks are good dithers for larger dats. Anything that is flashey, cheap and schools is a good choice. My biggest widebar occasionally slams my red hooks but doesnt do much damage. Better them get hit than my other dats.
