Id my Green Sunfish?

nice fish where you get them?

i personally was thinking about catching some sunfish here in virginia, but if you can buy them easily id much wether do that.

I caught them in a lake in my neighborhood that is a " skating pond" it was probably only two feet deep. Cauaght on line and reel with barbless hooks

Virginia has one of the prettiest and most cichlid like sunfish, the redbreast. If you go seining in some of your coldwater creeks Im sure youll be able to get one.

Greenies are the coolest looking sunfish IMO. I get them every once in a while mixed in with the feeder goldfish at my LFSes. They grow really fast, eat alot, and spawn regularly. Good luck.....
