2 1/2 inch only, just bought in three days ago..now looking for java moss to attached on the driftwood, very active eat alot too, will update soon once i done my java moss driftwood. you're GT look awesome, coloration is far better than mine. :)

Well mine is a bit bigger so Im sure your GT will get more colorful as he grows. Congrats on the purchase! That driftwood is really cool.

Your first pic is definitely a male...he is beginning to get a nice hump and his dorsal fins are pointy...
Make sure you do regular water changes and you will start seeing the results.
I have a breeding pair and this is what I feed....
1) DIY food 2) Hikari Bio Gold 3) Ocean Free Pellets 4) Earthworms 5) Freeze dried worms 6) Prawns

Continue with Hikari , once in a week try live food like earthworm and shrimps.
Feed them with a protien rich diet , that usually does the trick ....I guess eartworms have around 52% of protien....make sure you feed them occassionally.
Good luck !!!!

thanks so much for your advice, mate. how to make it grow nice hump anyway? is it about food i feed or?

I do not think it is really the environment necessarily, I think it is primarily more of a genetic factor. Maybe the environment could help stimulate the trait somewhat, but I doing it is to a large extent. Again I have not ever had one with a nuchal hump, only my one and a half inch (including tail) Green Terror did while trying to pair with another fish. Even my nine and a half inch Green Terror did not exhibit a nuchal hump, and he was part of a breeding pair. His mate was six and a half inches. So what I am trying to convey is the adult male of a breeding pair did not even posses this trait, but my one and a half inch little baby Green Terror did possess this trait but it only became apparent while spawning. The age seems to be irrelevant, so I really do believe it is primarily more of genetic factor in which a particular strain of Green Terror exhibits this trait. I hope this information helps! Beautiful Green Terror by the way; Green Terrors really are cool cichlids! :)
