Paulicea luetkeni x3

This scientific name is no longer used, the fish is now renamed to Zungaro zungaro aka the jau. They grow HUGE! They grow larger than redtail catfish. I will include a pic for an example.
Hope you have a big; scratch that, HUGE tank for him.

I am also annoyed that so many people have bought these "paulicea catfish" without actually knowing what they are.

I don't think so. Planetcatfish has their adult size as 55", and I think redtails can get to around 60"+.

Edit: actually PC has redtails @ 43" but I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.

Like what most people already said already its one of the big catfish in the aquarium trade going to be a nice 4 footer at least.

it's known by many different names as many already said few of those: Giant Jello Catfish, Giant Jelly Catfish, Jau, Manguruyú

THIS FISH has been recently imported in large numbers lately....

They lose that cool looking markings when they grow out of it so if you brought the fish for its looks alone... it wont last long.

 They grow MUCH larger than redtails, believe me.

Really, how big do they get? They must require a huge tank/pond then.
