ID my new cichlid?

Rainbow (herotilapia multispinosa) was my first guess, based mainly on the body shape and the dorsal and tail fins; looks like several others agree

colors are very dark for a Rainbow, but they do get that way when stressed . . . it's a nice fish, gets along well with others . . . won't cause trouble, and won't be troubled by others (generally)
 
It's a rainbow cichlid. Head shape and mouth are that of a rainbow cichlid. Tail spot is not right for a port acara. Here's a pic of a large male port acara (either Cichlasoma portalgrensis or C. bimaculatum) that I had about 25 years ago. Note the tail spot and compare it to the fish in question.
