ID my piranha!

Just got this guy today for free when I picked up a Tern. Anyone have a positive ID?

You'll have to fatten it up a bit-
At that size-Very hard to correctly determine species....
Also if you could get some good flank shots.....It would help-

Looks like a REALLY thin juve rhom from that angle. Would be easier to ID once fed properly.

the second pic tell me is a gold mac...but yeat fatten him up and get better pictures.

It may be one of those elongate types found in faster flowing rivers. I viewed one in a lfs last week - never seen one previously. http://www.piranha-info.com/default.php?lang=en&id=s_elongatus

the shape if your fish does not appear to be elong...and it does not look nothing like elong as well. get a better pictures and we can help you with the ID.

Thats either a rhom or a gibbus...but im leaning towards rhom

I too thought it was an elong at a first glance...but it looks to me as tho the fish was at an angle when the picture was taken so it gives the illusion that its shaped like an elong

We need straight and clearer pics!
