Thats what I was thinking. I've caught lots of macks, but I've only seen a few pics of bull trout, since there aren't any anywhere near here lol. It looks like a mack, but the fish in the picture is pretty washed out so I'm basing that on the tail alone. Lake trout can be found in rivers, so I wouldn't doubt it.
 
The fish was caught 5 miles away from the lake but I've heard of crazier things the bull trout has a flat ended tail thank you everyone for your input.
 
i still think bull trout the tail dos not look forked but damaged. thus making it look forked i am 100% sure that is a bull trout should have put it back.

I disagree, the tail is damaged but its pretty easy to see that its still forked...
 
I agree completely about not keeping it but I disagree with the bull idea the fish looks rough but deffinatly forked tail juvie Mack IMO
