Black Sand or pfs for upper jaws? Not red?
IMO garnet makes everything look good. Black really just darkens up the UJ's and draws out the greens. To some extent it does it for some LJ's to, but the UJ's patterns stand out a little more while the LJ's patterns darken up and most times become nonexistent. Garnet really brings out the patterns in LJ's and UJ's. I would much rather prefer almost any UJ's on garnet sand rather than black sand.

Im gonna switch to garnet or red flint sand but my upper jaws dont look washed out on the pfs that they are in with now.

Don't seem too whited out from the sand. Look nice.

Sad part is ur bichirs r washed out lol u will no what I mean when u switch sands one day .... Uj don't lose there entire patterns like lj do they will usually always keep some patterns .... But there colors r not to there potential at all

Can you post some pics of your uj's so we all can use as a comparison

Not doubting the sand will make em look better but so far toe they seems alright. Anything to make our fish look better is worth it

The black brings out the greens like crazy on ujs and have even seen it bring out some oranges as well ... With ornates it makes the yellow stand out morebut I can't say enough bout those greens that come out in them
