My Del grew slowly. I had him for a few months and he went from 2" to 2.5 MAYBE close to 3. In the same amount of time, my endlii went from the same 2" to almost 7.

Why don't LFS seem to know what these fish are? I was just at my LFS and they had a del labeled an ornate. The worst part was when I corrected them and told them to look up pictures for themselves they told me that the dealer had told them it was an ornate and that was the end of the conversation.

It was kind of sad too, the 10g tank had the little 3"-3.5" del and a 4" jardini, not to mention the most flourecent pink rocks I've ever seen. I would have picked up the del but I'm broke and couldn't afford to give them $50 for him.

Some LFS are kinda dumb too I can say.
Once,I've spotted a baby endli 1-1.5 inch and I asked them
"Do you have another same bichir but it's head is round?(Cause they didn't know the upper and lower jaw species kinda thing)
Then the men told me the dumbest kind of answer.
"I'm selling all round head bichirs, don't worry"
"This bichir(endli) head's flattened because it was being crushed on the way in the truck so it's head got deformed"
And that time I was like "WTF?"
I told him that it's a subspecies from the polyteridae family and he says it's not!
And that was it!
LOL!

Some people at the fish stores just think they know everything! And if anyone comes in to correct them, they want no part in it!

Yah,I do agree.
They seemed well known bout the fishes but actually they don't!
LOL.They just try to end the conversation quick and fast.

So true, this crazy old lady owns one of the ones near me, she has a rtc labeled Asian red tail cat, I told her it wasn't, it was south American, and gets way bigger, and she just said "so that's what people are calling them these days? Where'd you learn your information, the Internet? I've been doing this 50 years, I know more."

haha her house probably has 25 cats in it! There is a guy by me that owns a store called Aquarium Masters, (www.aq-masters.com) this guy truly does know his crap! I wish every store owner was as smart as this guy is. And when there is something he's wrong on, he takes the criticism and learns from it! Cool guy!

People like that are less in general... who could take criticism... and when it comes to LFS... ahahah they are the parliament and thats it...
well when i was buying the Del he was still the bag and i cared less for to chk on the fish more cause they very seldom get them around here... so my first guess was is it a endlicheri? ahhahah that guy just got stuck to it... he still thinks that is a endli...
and talk about arguementing LFS.. he had some really nice lookin GT's with Nuchal humps as well... so one of them already developing some HITH.... his first line of defense was no they are bite marks... i just left it to that didnt bother... poor GT is gonna be sold to a unknown owner as well...
