In your opinion, a hybrid of what species?

That is a tough one to say- but even if we assume the mix they told you is correct- it 75% brown and 25% black- I do not think it will get that dark. But this ray has a ton of development left to do so you never know what they will turn out to be.

That's fair. My last question is this, he's offering that ray, a 17" GG and a 10" oscar in trade for my 11 clowns which are decent size.

So do you think the trade is worth it?

Personally I think he's getting the better side of the deal. Your clowns are a decent size and some a very good size, clown loach command a good price at your sizes, you've got 11. Do the math. Often in deals it's not really the money value that's important, if you're happy with the swap then go for it. Is this your first ray? Ask to see it feeding - first pic particularly it looks skinny to me

It does have claspers as it's a male. In the first pic, you can see them. It's definitely motoro mixed. The guy says its turning black now so I was assuming that was a hint to the potential black ray heritag.

Spotfin wasn't asking if claspers were present, you can see them, he asked if it had pelvic fins as you can't see them.

That's why I was curious as I'm not too knowledgeable on the price of hybrids.

In terms of the worth of deals, im just trying to see what people offer tbh.

I currently keep rays but this is my first hybrid.

I have no clue as I haven't seen the ray in person. He lives in Bristol whereas I'm in London. Atm, im just in dicussion with the guy about the potential trade. I'll ask him about the pelvic fins

i would do the trade in a heart beat but im not a fan of clown loaches.

How many over 7" do you have?

I'd say out of the 11, the sizes are as follows -

1x 10"
4x 6-7"
3x 5.5-6"
3x 4.5-5.5"

one was a rescue who had no tail but it's growing back. That's one of the smaller ones tbh.

Liam has seen my clowns so ask him if you want confirmation

I'd swap a CB Hystrix female pup from Aquaman for your clown loach group. I'm in suffolk, much closer than Bristol, but you'd have to drive to mine. Just offering 👍

ill definitely consider that. PM me with the details please?

I'm mainly after a nice male but I'd consider a female
