This is one of the fish I got from pet smart in the Texas Cichlid tank. I'm not sure if he is a Texas or a Kamfa.

The issue: He is very nice and comes to my hand. The problem is he does not eat, that is until I showed him blood worms. He takes the blood worm and sucks on it until its empty and spits out the skin. He doesn't eat a lot and is very skinny and boney looking. I have given him every food that I can think. Flake, dried meal worms, dried blood worms, crushed up cichlid mix, frozen brine shrimp (he would take that and spit it out). The blood worms are all he will eat (and not very much at that).

I purchased two of these guys and the other one is very agressive and eats like a pig.

Any suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks

Oh and I forgot to mention. His tank mates are two tetra and one female betta. He does not chase them but slightly nudges/nips them if they hang around him to long. He could care less about them.

Kamfa Flowerhorn, oh and its gonna kill the betta and tetras.

Thanks for telling me what he is.

If I can get him healthy maybe he will kill em all (and that is not my intention ).... I had to partition the other side of the tank for the other Kamfa so he didn't kill the kamfa that is weak. The tetra and betta are my test fish for the internal algae scrubber. The small weak Kamfa has been with them for 4 weeks with no issues (everyone still has all their tails and fins. Not one nip). I need to get this one healthier.

51 views and no one has any suggestions on why this fish will not eat much. Chrisplosion I see your the Flowerhorn person... what else can I do for this little feller.....

Sorry didnt read lol. If you got this within the last couple days its normal. Dont feed any food for a couple days and try again. It needs to adjust to the new tank and new food.

Yes blood worms are a treat. Pellets he just looks at them floating and will not eat. Flake food he watches it as it floats by. Brine shrimp spits it out. Even Betta food just watches it. Blood worms comes to it and takes a few nibbles..... He is not afraid and doesn't hide. comes to my hand and greets it in the water. Will only take blood worm and not very much.

I have had this Kamfa for a month. or little longer
