ID on pleco

Only a guess, but I'd say it's a H. Punctatus 'Common' pleco.

If not then probably one of the related Hypostmus species.

A good hardy meduim size plec, not a tankbuster like the sailfin species

after doing some looking i too beleive it is from the hypostomus family. They look as though there are a few different morphs, or colors and patterns, but they all have the same body shape. Now what is the growth rate of this fish?

Brown Hypostomus with spots are difficult to identify... even with clear pictures, so I'd not like to hazard a guess into a particular one.
