ID on small fish?

So I thought "I can figure this out...I have the INTERNETS!!" Started googling around, sure that I could get an idea of the most common minnows in quebec and then just do image searches until a good match came up....

Well, I'm a bit more humble now, so I suppose that's good.

Thanks for all the help, so far they're about 1- 1.5" long now and they seem to be brassy minnows around here. i think that's the closest thing they resemble after much googling around thanks for all the responses.
