they give you credit no matter what. they have a flyer right on the counter that says no cash for fish brought in. and you get 25% of what they're gonna sell it for. i dont like ut but atleast its something. i have him for sale in the marketplace and on craigslist so hopefully i can get more than the store will give me.

sounds like this LFS is pretty shrewd. I bet that fish has been bought and sold before. Alot of people buy a piranha, realize it's not deserving of the fearsome reputation, and return it in a matter of weeks. Also they gave you just enough in store credit to make it worth your while to plop down another 80$ for another fish. I wonder if it's really a blue D if it sold for less than the other fish. Do you have a pic?

its a blue, i saw the blue on the sides. and thats what i really want, i didn't trade cause i was bored or disappointed in behavior. they didn't know he was a blue. i told em "yeah, i wanna trade this one in for the blue one." lfs guy "he's a blue?". they just sell them all as black piranhas. they have the best selection of fish in the area and the only non-rbp's, so it sucks i have to go there.
25 percent of what they sale for is about what they give you here. i was trying to trade in 7 inch red bellies and the only store that would take them was offering 5 bucks each, they sell them in store at 4 inches for 69.99. they did up their offer to 15 bucks each when i showed them that mine weren't all chewed up like most of the trades in they get but i wanted minimum of 20.

it hurts when ya see that. not just how much you paid in the first place but all the effort you put in, its like they're tellin you you didnt do a good job and its only worth x-amount. i bought 4 rbps @ $9ea raised em from like 1.5in to 7 and got what i paid for them in credit. sucks.
