will be posting up tomorrow seeing its late...and it was not miss treated by me as it was missed treated by the sender as it was mention poorly sent to me and yes i talked to the guy and just paid him 50$ instead cause it was big rippoff for 175...

kelberi look like that when they're young too....as with anything, a pbass is only worth as much as you think it's worth.

and without knowing where the fish came from or how much the original owner paid for it, its hard to say if you got "ripped off".

nvm they are monos i was rite if i paid 150-175$ ripped off...i knew it from the start cause guy lie to me...saying they where on pellets and they arent, second they wild caught my ass they are, 50$ each hell no can get monos at lfs for 10-13bucks

Truly what ado was saying is true .A fish is only worth what you think it is .It does not matter how rare or not it's what you are willing to pay and if it makes you happy !!!Even the do called rare stuff buy some then try to sell a little later see how many Real Buyers step up to the plate .Alot of talkers not to many actually cough it up!!!Including myself i have to really like a fish to pay over a hundred and hundreds.Has to be more than a passing interest ya know.Thats why if you spend that kind of money make sure the seller is reputable like ado said!!

"A fish is only worth what you think it is". I don't agree with that. If a lying con artist convinces a buyer that a fish is worth hundreds it doesn't mean it is. However it's more important for the buyer to know what they are getting before they hand over their cash. If you can't ID a temensis you shouldn't be spending over $100 on a peacock bass.

Well tim i totally get what you are saying and your right !!!But i was kinda comming form a different direction on it.That it does not matter what it is that you yourself should like somtheing not because somebody says it's rare or because it is rare is not a good reason to get the fish;)

I see what you mean and I agree fish should be chosen to your own tastes. Personally I really like monos and temensis but I would never pay $175 for either of them. My most expensive cichla was a 3" pinima and that cost me $60. Even my 4" kelberi was only $40 and my Rio Meta orinos were $15.

My point is if people are willing to pay a fortune for fish then that's what the salesman will charge. Making a lot of fish too expensive for many excellent fish keepers who earn a lower income.
