Yeah, bass like :), I was just assuming that since it's Brazil and it has a perch like dorsal, body shape, maybe some juvenile?

So nobody knows what type of "bass" it is?

Yes, I have seen these before.the cubera snappers get landlocked here in Florida and sometimes they get huge in the fresh water. I have caught them almost black in color ,also some that were very orange.Other countries I think some of them travel up river and live thier lives out in fresh also.

They are typical SaoPaulo piquiti. Generally Saopaulo var get more green or yellow on the body. But they don't get blue much...
