I got this baby female ball today at a reptile show. The dude who sold it to me said she is a normal but she has like wayyy more yellow and gold than my adult male. Also her dad is an epic Savannah morph and her mom was a wild caught normal. She may just be a normal but i thought I would ask anyways. IMG_9591.JPGIMG_9596.JPG

Got her for 40. This pic really doesn't do the amount of yellow a justice. I have a normal male and he is way browner. Jus askin.

It's just a normal.

Normals can be pretty variable in color from a dark brown to a bright gold (like the one pictured). For example, I used to have two normal female ball pythons from the same litter, and one was a dark brown while the other looked similar to the one that you have. Based on the genetics of the parents, the only other morph that it could possibly be is a cinnamon, but I highly doubt that based on the coloration, but you've still got a really nice looking normal!

It is a Wild Type (or 'Normal') Ball Python...

In Ball Pythons yellow Pigment fades as the snake matures... This is best noted with 'Pastel' Ball Pythons which have excessive yellow coloration. Babies usually have brilliant yellow coloration and then fade or brown as they mature.

This is a nice looking normal female, but do not mislead yourself into thinking it is any sort of morph...

Yeah it's a normal female. But pastel's don't always fade, my 1 or so yr old 1000 gram pastel male has only gotten more yellow. It actually amazed me, I figured he would brown out.

Yep a not so regular normal! I still think the wild variants look the best, you got yourself a wicked snake
