we were thinking red devil/midas but face is abit odd

I've had female midas cichlids look just like that in color and shape. Top fin sure has a nice point for a girl tho
 
Tough call, its definitely a Amphilophus though.

thank you guys.....maybe a cross of two then, these look similar facual wise
Amphilophus altifrons
 
Both are Amphilophus. While I couldn't say 100% the first appears to be A. Labiatus. The second A. Citrinellum. Most of the fish sold as "Red Devils" on the market today could be one or the other...or more often than not...a combination of both...which could be the case with the fish pictured above. Sometimes the fish will exhibit one or more traits based on the dominant "mix" of genes...the Labiatius with the lips...the Citrinellum with the head shape. The black spots and blotching s common to most young "Red Devils" and will eventually either change entirely to their permanent color orr retain some of the spotting.
