ID PLEASE GUY'S....Work your magic?

Almost certainly both are hybrids. The bottom pic has pearling which means it can't be pure amphilophus. I'm not familiar enough with the different flowerhorns to be able to say what they are. The top one's face is almost more talapia like then cit or lab.

You might want to post the pics in the hybrid/flowerhorn section and see what they say. Someone there might know exactly what they are. I just don't know much about them.

:iagree:

The 1st pic Labiatus for sure.

Did not see last post. I ment to agree with Aquamojo!

Both are Amphilophus. While I couldn't say 100% the first appears to be A. Labiatus. The second A. Citrinellum. Most of the fish sold as "Red Devils" on the market today could be one or the other...or more often than not...a combination of both...which could be the case with the fish pictured above. Sometimes the fish will exhibit one or more traits based on the dominant "mix" of genes...the Labiatius with the lips...the Citrinellum with the head shape. The black spots and blotching s common to most young "Red Devils" and will eventually either change entirely to their permanent color orr retain some of the spotting.

Come on Mo! Just look at the second fish. No way is that A. cit.

Look at the face (jaw/gill plate area). See some Herichthys in there? Look at the pearling on the gill plate, upper body and unpaired fins. No way is this a pure fish.
