Are his eyes really as blue as they look in your pictures?!?!?

They look strange. I think they are heavily clouded or damaged or he has cataracts and the tank has a blue(ish) light.

I recently had to move my synindontis catfish out of my bichir tank.. he became really territorial and I observed him bitting my ornate bichirs... leaving red blotches all over their skin... I would definitely not reccomend a syn catfish with bichirs based on my personal experience...
