ID Please, not so sure anymore.

Can you guys please ID the subtype of cichla? I got them from LFS when they were around 3-4" and told they were Orino's.

Not so sure anymore.

Orino no. Monos yes. Protruding lower jaw is a give away. Compared to ocells with a flush lower and upper lip.

Not really hard to take care of. Just basic tank maintenance, clean water, proper foods (pellets, shrimp, fish fillets, etc) and plenty of swimming space. Monos can live in a 180gal for a while, but not for life. A 300gal wide is better. Any foot print of 6'x30" would be ideal.
