ID Please, ocels? monos? or wat??

my baby wild monos already have red eyes at 2.5 inches.... your cichla are 100% monoculus.... ocellaris have one big ocelli (peacock eye as u called it) toward the read of there body (not tail) and are rounder in shape along with red eyes ects...
 
You seem to know more than me, but my "monos" if that's what they are had perfect circular "ocelli" except the lighter one because his tail got chewed when it was younger. And if you look at Mark7616's thread "Update on my ocel", his ocel has two "ocelli" on it's tailfin or at the "rear end of it's body"
 
You seem to be right about the small ocelli though but why did mines not have red eyes? Did that mean they're farm bred?
 
Tail ocells don't make any difference. These have a lot of lateral color and their rear bar is more of a bar and less of an ocell right under the dorsal.
 
Farm bred are usually a little less colorful. That's really the only way to guess that they are farm bred if you don't already know.

reason for my answer is i have similar cichla that are farm raised.... and
DM... helped solve my curiosity in farmraised and helped determined what they are.... asian MONOCELL....
