Is their face structure elongated like a tem would be?
I have had intermedia and temensis in the past intermedia looks very different then those of HULON's. It is very clear to tell aswell. With the new picture updates you can see that the horizontal bar widens as it progresses down to the tail very typical of temensis. Also, face structure elongation and general body elongation is a very very typical trait of all "Striped" cichla vs. "Blotch" (e.g Cichla Monoculus, Cichla Pleiozona, Cichla Kelberi, Cichla Orinocensis etc. Just to name a few.) Now compare and contrast and you will also see that at very very juvenile scale Cichla Intermedia will have more than 4-5 blotches and are very obvious to tell. Now if you dont think i am right give it some time. In the next inch or so you will see some spangling form around the horizontal bar.
