ID please - Stumping MFK since 2008

top two pics were taken a year ago. she was about 4" then. bottom two pics were from yesterday and she's now just over 6" mouth to tail
 
reminds me of a fish that was sold to me as a Chilotilapia Euchilus a while back.

I think we're on to something here. She has that same pattern.
 
yep, same red on the tail.

here's a thread I started last year over on cichlid-forum.com there were some ideas but nothing conclusive I suspect you might have the same fish with an abnormal head shape to it. Ive tried searching for C Euchilus green female but no good pictures.

I think your thread on cichlid-forum 2nds my guess of Lethrinops lethrinus. The pics from breeze720 looks to be of a F or juvi. And the last one of a male. Check out Malawimayhem.com, thats were I came to my guess. If you never been on there, click on resources and then click on profile. They have a pic of a Lethrinops lethrinus F, that looks right on the money.
 
I agree Johnny, Id say thats a match. The pic of the female in the Malawimayhem profile has the same dotted red pattern on the dorsal fin as the pics I posted.

it kinda looks like my lobochilotes labiatus from tanganyika they get 14.5 inch there herbivorous and there in the tropheus family.also there rare in the fish hobby.
