Hello, the disk is demaged because of 2 male 13.5 inch Motoros in the tank before i get here.

@ alex Dummkopf (thanks to alessandro :-) ) I´ts not a spec. peru, first time i think so too, but the points are to regulare. If you connect them, you will get Rings. The points and stripes of a spec. Peru are irregulare.

Ok, that means humerosa or spec.Peru

Whatever, she is nice

Hi,

in my eyes, it's just a ray, that looks like other rays that have been imported from peru recently. Does anyone, including Stomar, KNOW where or even in which country this ray was caught?

I think, that noone, not even specialised scientists, will be able to tell you definitly what species this animal belongs to (by the way, how valid are all of the actually known Potamotrygon species, especially these from Peru?)! It could belong to Pot. humerosa, Pot. yepezi, Pot. cf. yepezi other known species or a yet completely undescribed species........

Sure is, that this ray looks like some other peruvian rays an thats all.
So in my opinion Pot. spec. Peru, as these animals are called by peruvian exporters too, should not be the most incorrect anwer in my opinion!

It's not worth argueing about that.

Regards
Stefan

Looks like a young Potamotrygon orbignyi to me.. The markings/stripes form rings.. When did you get it..? it may colour up a bit more..
