I'm convinced this is a convict... yet the crazy man at the LFS had no idea what it was haha...

looks like a convict to me, does it have pink under its mouth and on its fins or was the picture just taken from a weird angle?

Yeah there's no pink on it... think the flash on the camera made it come out like that lol

I think it was one of these cases where he was just the 'owner' kinda thing haha...
Thing is... they're in a garden center which is really done up nice and just down the road is another shop and they seem to be going out of business, yet the know EVERYTHING about fish... shame eh.

If the can't id a convict what do they do when harder to id species come in? I can only imagine how mislabeled everything must be in that store

Yeah... well he did check with the guy who he obviously employs... he said it was a convict, I just wanted to make sure as I'm new to Cichlids One of the biggest fish stores I have seen here though, some really cool fish in there
