guys, the thing doesn't look like its about to die. there is fat on the tail and the hips are hardly noticable. a long way to go before there is any serious worry.

I don't know man, it looks awfully skinny. It is a beautiful ray though.

you might be right but if it still has to be transported to canada and we dont know what its conditions are now and when the pic was taken. IMO the pic alone would deter me from buying it just because i dont know if it is just underfed or something else ie. parasites or bacterial infection. i would rather take my chances and spend the money on a healthy well fed ray then one that appears to be stressed and underfed.

i dont mean to deter the poster from getting the ray.....i just hope everything works out and they can get this poor animal a good home.
