not a monster fish or that i think could be..

picked this guy up last week.. the store didn't have any labels on him.

Any help in IDing him would be great, thanks.

Looks like a banjo Def a Bunocephalus species its hard to tell them a part
 
Pretty cheap and about 4" Even though they don't really do ANYTHING...I still think they're cool cats. I think last time I saw them for sale, they were about $6.
 
really cool cats one of my favorites. Yeah definately doesnt do anything. I have a little two incher and a 4" that i rescued that my gf stole.:irked:

Anyways usually not too expensive 5 or 6 bucks. I read recently that getting a couple isnt a bad idea as they are sometimes seen hunting in groups after the lights go out.

Personally i hope to try my hand at catfish breeding with these little guys. Doubt it will happen. but could be fun anyways.

flake food is what i feed thim and yes thay are night time fish
 
I have a couple in one of my tanks... don't remember which one... they bury themselfs and I see them every few months when I happen to reach into the substrate and they freak out and torpedo into my palm... then in a flash they are gone again... under some decoration ... if you give them 2 -3 seconds then lift the decoration they are GONE!!buried again not to be see for a couple more months LOL
