Could it be a Mayan or something like that. Very round.

wow i think it's a Cryptoheros spilurus judging from the hump..

i saw him 2 days ago in LFS i was like wow look at this minature midas cichlid it was being bullied by an African i had to get him..

cost me 5 dollars. they said a customer brought him in and they had no idea what he was.

im very happy that he may be even more colorful in the future, judging from the pictures.

One more questions, what are their behaviors like? mean?

what these ppl are throwing out there is pure speculation on their parts.

this fish has the body shape and face/head of a sajica, but with very strange markings and bars.

also honestly a Cryptoheros spilurus i don't believe gets that full head and brutish looking face like a sajica.

hey my friend those are not spilurus buddy. those my friend do not have blue eyes, and the old male you posted is clearly a hybrid. both cutteri and spilurus have BLUE eyes. also on all cutteri and spilurus they have a white/blue blaze on their sides that isn't pictures here on either of your fish. sajicas do not have this marking.

that old male is insane

Thanks wish I still have some offsprings from him. Had him about 7-8 yrs olds.
