Couldn't really see its dorsal though, so its possible it might be a type of channa. Ctenopoma kingsleyae or some related species perhaps? Gonna move this to a different section.

Comes from the Ocovango Delta in Africa (according to the program i saw ). Very good jumpers, grow to between 5" and 12" dependent on species. Pretty rare in the trade and absolutely bugger all information about them on line. There a type of labyrinth fish, so can breath from the surface oxygen, are quite territorial and practice egg guarding. Eggs are laid in deep water and float. Guarded by the male as i recall. Treat as an African Riverine Cichlid basically, Live in similar conditions and eating similar prey items. Best of luck Craggy
