Hi Guys, I got this from s store labeled as Synodontis multipunctatus? they are both only about 1 1/2 inc at the moment.

no that is not multipuntatus. that is a hybrid.

bigfishsmallpond. Your right, i spoke to the LFS today and they are synodontis acanthomias, which grow to (19.7") instead of 6"! the guy kid working at the store labeled incorrectly

doesn't look like acanthomias to me. If I was a betting man, the LFS just agreed with you as they don't have a clue (or maybe they know they are hybrids) and just see another name thrown in that they could charge more for. I still think it is a hybrid mate and would only pay hybrid prices.
i still say hybrid too. Just doesnt look like acanthomias to me, and i stopped trusting my lfs a long time ago. Everyone reaches that point where they know more about the fish than the person selling them to them.
But its now a waiting game. If it reaches 18" then you proved me wrong. but i dont think it will come close to that mark.
