hey all, i got this fish a fairly long time ago roughly 5 - 6 months ago. it got sold to me as a red devil, but im not sure lol its black with bars, big ass lips and all but yea im no professional i just like to watch it kill **** so yea lol, any help would be great he is currently in a 3ft tank with a 3in robertsoni and a 1 1/2 in red terror he leaves both fish alone they all gang up on the convicts when i put them in lol always fun when mates are around. any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

A barred colour morph of the Red Devil? The lips make me think it's a true Amphilophus labiatus. He looks awesome!

I agree with you on the shape of the mouth, but i honestly don't know, something's fishy about it.

it's amphilophus, most likely barred midas. doubtful on any uncommon amphilophus species. not an RD

It's got the snout of a RD. I would say RD/Midas Barred Hybrid. To be honest because this fish is difficult to tell.

Dunno but its got Barred midas in it though just the face that looks off but still a nice fish.
