It is a Florida gar (lepisosteus platyrhincus)

That tank is not an ideal setup for those fishes. That's why the gars and bichir looks very pale. My bichirs and gars are always with dark patterns and well contrast base color even with lights off or light on. Add some substrates and maybe some drift wood to that tank.

thanks for telling me il try too add something i had rocks but its a little hard too change the fish tank for me lol

its a florida, and like poly said, give him some rocks and stuff. my gar looked so much better with more deco.
