I new to this thing, have been fishing my entire life...can someone explain what the differance is between a Rock Bass and a Warmouth? When I saw the pic I imediatly thought it was a Rock Bass, but everyone agrees it is a Warmouth. Help a brotha out.

warmouth is second pic, rock bass is first with physical characteristics.
warmouth, Lepomis gulosus
rock bass, Ambloplites rupestris

yep theres a very real possibility i could be getting a juvenile rock bass(2-3") this summer. cant wait :D i might still get a rbp instead, but the two fish at the top of my list right now are redbelly piranha and rock bass

There nothing wrong with Rbps but i wish i would have got a small rhom instead but i didnt want to wait for aquacape to get them in. Now i wish i did wait Its taken a long time for me to get mine to eat when i drop in the food :irked:.

yep i'm thinking about emptying my 30g of the fish in there now and dedicating it to a single piranha. theres two piranhas at my lfs the same size-5". the rbp is 30 bucks and the rhom is 20 bucks cuz its been there forever. i heard that rhoms dont usually get over 10" in captivity, so i think i might get it over the rbp. has a nice overbite and mean look to it

yeah but that verys by fish the rhom should outgrow the rbp
