I'm not an expert so don't listen to me but I'm gunna go out on a limb and say it might be a trimac. Just cuz it has those markings on the side. Whatever it is, it is very nice.

That was my second choice but I just can't pin it down.. When do the develop the Knuckle? Or do some not? It just seems to be missing a little more than the hump to a Flowerhorn as well.. Either one is similar...

It's not a trimac. Trimacs don't have that much red or have that many black dots on their sides, they're more greener, and built differently. As for a flowerhorn, I dont think but not 100% sure on this one. Male or female a FH would normally have a bigger hump and generally arn't as round as this fish.

honestly, it does not look like anything I know. most certainly not a trimac or a rainbow.

it does bare a resemblence to a striped midas, but the body is too elongated.

it's probably a mix/hybrid of some sort.

Definitely not a chocolate, trimac, rainbow or mayan. I'm fairly sure it's a hybrid. I'd guess it might have some bocourti blood in it. Nice looking fish regardless.
