How big and how old is it?

It looks like an Aequidens metae to me but I'm far from an aequidens expert. It could also be a diadema.
 
Aequidens for sure , but it's a bit of a toss up as to which one for me. I'm going to venture a guess and say A. diadema. The problem with a lot of acaras is that they don't really show good color untill they're close to full size from my experience. If it colors up more yellow then it's A. metae , but my moneys on A. diadema. Cool acara whichever one it is.
 
You might be right , seeing it through less sleepy eyes it does look more like a port. Lack of face marks as compaired to the A. diadema and more subtle coloration.

Didn't the ports get left in the cichlasoma genus , or did they get moved ?
