Doesn't look like any male synspilum I've ever seen. I'd treat it as a potential hybrid. IE if you get it don't breed it and sell the offspring as synspilum.

Absolutely on the ball. The fish is absolutely not pure. It has carachteristics of both bifas and syns and it may be a mix of one or the other. Could be a Vieja sp. x rose queen. Best you can do is guess.

For sure, I certainly wouldn't be breeding it with anything. Its a nice looking fish though IMO, I'm quite tempted depending on what it goes for...
 
it could have some flowerhorn in it...definitely wouldn' t be surprised. it's at least, though, a Vieja hybrid of some sort. I'm sure there's at lest bifasc in it and quite possilby also synspilum.
