LFS said it was a spotted pleco --;

im Thinking its a variant of the Medusa. The spots are beige/goldish yellow,
He is still very shy, it just happen that his home is easily viewable

I'll need a better pic to actually see what it is.. but i dont think its a spotted Medusa.. spots are brown...

my train of though was gone when i was making the post. IM thinking its a vampire pleco, not a medusa


but it is black with the brown/gold spots like u said

Theres too many pleco that looks similar to each other.. without a full body shot or a pic of his head/mouth.. i wouldnt be able to ID properly..

If i had to bet money on it.. and this fish looks like its 10" plus.. so it has to be the more exotic and uncommon type.. but i wont comment on the L number.. need more pics..

Agreed, try for some side on pics.
 
alright thanx for the help. i will try get the picture, but i don't want to net him and stress him out. ill give you guys and update if i get an side picture.

U might not have to net up out.. just try to get it out i the open where u can take a nice shot.. I never net my pleco out for a shot.. unless i want to inspect their growth etc... (It actually stress the fish ALOT if u pull them out) best to take pics in water...

Its like putting a human into a vaccum and taking pictures of it.. :irked:
