I have looked throught the ID thread and can't seem to ID him, can anyone help me out?

He's about 4.5" long

I'm not that stupid, what kind of Gar, he was labeled as a Gator, but I highly doubt he is that.

Looks to be a longnose to me. But snout lengths is a difficult identifier when gars are little.

A shortnose at that size should still have the bump on it's head compared to the rest of it's body. Sort of like this

not all shortnoses have that bump on their head...it seems to be more common in shortnoses that come through LFS than those we find in the wild.

it's a tough call from this photo, but my money is on FL gar...highly doubt it's a longnose (again, given this photo and what we can tell of the snout length). definitely not a gator gar--
