It kind of looks like the true Rivulatus but I haven't seen enough of them to know for sure.

Yours doesn't have the white edge though.

thats what it is they have one at a pet store by me but want to much for it ... and to sex it you would have to vent it cuz male and female look almost the same....

The group is not well defined and there is lots of variation in color patterns. The Bahia reds do have a lot more red color.

Ok, thanks for the info. That's what always comes to mind when I think brasieliensis.

Male geophagus brasiliensis. It has the hump on it head that's a sure sign it's a male. Females are smooth looking .
