You are good...Looking at those pics I wouldn't be able to tell the Japanese or Nile apart if they were side by side.....and I've had a few Niles.

honestly im not 100% sure they are japonicus... but john has some pretty fancy stuff so im guessing japonicus is more his style???

i am sure that they arent calcarifer, since ive kept several of those and they have a very different pattern.
